It's a ‘gamma' or village concept – with a series of cabanas made from sustainable materials using traditional Sri Lankan fishing village designs and construction techniques.
Yes Palagama Beach is eco and sustainable. Yes the design is based on hundreds of years of artisan heritage but this doesn't mean a compromise on convenience and comfort. The twist involved integrating contemporary touches into the interior - culminating in a rustic feel with modern practicality. The hybrid design delivered an authentic, and yet somehow fresh, Sri Lankan living experience.
